My daughter is getting more expressive, so I wanted to capture a few of her faces.
She started off small (5lb 2oz), but is growing fast.

I love her eyelashes.
I have been on a photography hiatus for a couple of reasons. On March 30th, I gave birth to this wonderful baby girl.
The other reason for my hiatus is that I defended my Phd in genetics from Duke on March 27th.
I was really hoping for a long pregnancy to have a gap between my defense and baby. Unfortunately, the day after my defense, I was told I had pre-eclampsia and needed to head in for an induction.
The weekend before her birth, my pear tree was blooming so we were able to finish this project. I know that now every time these trees bloom, I will think of Evelyn.
